Child Safety Standards.
setem has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. These standards apply to every account, profile, photo, review, story, and message on setem.
Adults only
setem is a dating and matchmaking service for adults age 18 and older. Children may not create accounts, be represented in dating profiles, or use the service. We may remove content, profiles, and accounts when we reasonably believe a person using or represented on setem is under 18.
Prohibited child sexual abuse and exploitation
setem prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Prohibited conduct includes creating, uploading, requesting, possessing, sharing, promoting, or facilitating CSAM; grooming or attempting to groom a child; sexualizing a child; sextortion involving a child; trafficking or attempting to traffic a child for sexual purposes; and any other conduct that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers a child. This prohibition includes real, altered, computer-generated, and AI-generated material.
Report a child-safety concern
In the setem app, open Settings → Support. This opens setem’s support and safety reporting page. Choose the child-safety reporting option below to contact our monitored safety channel. Include the relevant profile name or link, conversation details, and a factual description of the concern.
Do not download, save, copy, forward, or attach suspected CSAM. Instead, identify where it appears so our team can investigate safely.
Report a child-safety concern →If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or the appropriate law-enforcement agency immediately.
How setem responds
We review child-safety reports as a priority. When we obtain actual knowledge of prohibited material or conduct, we may restrict or terminate accounts, disable profiles, remove content, preserve relevant information as permitted or required by law, and take other steps needed to protect users. We report apparent CSAM and child exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children or other appropriate authorities when required by applicable law.
Compliance and cooperation
setem complies with applicable child-safety laws and responds to valid legal requests. We may cooperate with law enforcement and child-protection organizations while protecting report confidentiality and personal information as required by law.
